Events Volunteer
Organisation: RSPCA Hull & East Riding Branch CIO (Reg. Charity No: 1209420)
Responsible to: Fundraising and Events Officer
Location: Community events, animal centre events, and pop-up stalls
Time Commitment: As needed for planned events (evenings/weekends possible)
Overall Purpose of the Role:
Be part of the team that brings our fundraising and community engagement events to life! From stalls to open days and seasonal markets, your help will make a real impact on event success and awareness.
Your Tasks:
- Set up/take down event stalls or display stands
- Greet and talk to attendees
- Handle cash donations or sales
- Distribute leaflets or information
- Encourage sign-ups to volunteer or donate
- Support animal welfare education at community events
- Promoting Gift Aid, fundraising campaigns and support with social media activity.

About Us:
Why do we exist? Because 200 years ago, three people — including Hull’s own William Wilberforce — took a stand against animal cruelty. We’re proud to continue that legacy today.
Who are we? RSPCA Hull & East Riding Branch is an independent local branch of the national RSPCA. We operate a busy animal rescue centre and deliver outreach projects across Hull and East Yorkshire.

Additional Information:
- Volunteers must be 18 or over
- Volunteers will be asked to provide two references
- Training is provided, including health & safety and safeguarding guidance.
- Volunteers are expected to maintain confidentially of sensitive information and adhere to the Shops policies and procedures.
