All animals available for adoption can be viewed on our Adopt a pet page. You will find lots of information about the animal, including whether they are suitable to live in a home with children and other pets. If you see a pet you would like to adopt, please complete an application form including home photographs, so that our dedicated team can assess your suitability.

If our team think you are the perfect match, they will get in touch with you to arrange meeting with the animal. If this goes well, your animal will then be reserved pending adoption. We treat every animal as an individual, so you may need to have several meetings with your potential pet before our team are happy to proceed with the adoption.

Unfortunately we cannot respond to reports of animal cruelty, as we are a local independent branch who only have the capacity to rehabilitate and rehome the animals brought into our care.

Reports of animal cruelty and neglect must be directed to the National RSPCA Control Centre, who then send the National RSPCA’s Inspectorate team to respond.

If you suspect cruelty or neglect, please gather all the information you can about the situation and report this to the NCC’s cruelty line 0300 1234 999. Alternatively you can report online here.  

As an independent local branch, our priority is the cruelty cases brought into our care by the National RSPCA Inspectorate. We therefore have a waiting list for any members of the public wanting to rehome their pets with us.

If you would like to email hello@rspcahull.org.uk you will be sent an application form to complete. Once completed you will be placed on the waiting list and contacted if a space becomes available. Please note that spaces are not guaranteed and may not become available quickly.

Our branch does not have the appropriate resources to rescue wildlife, as we do not have an onsite vet. This area of work is covered by the National RSPCA’s Inspectorate team which is tasked by the National Control Centre (NCC).

If you are able to take the animal to a local vet or wildlife rehabilitator, this is probably the quickest course of action and many vets will treat wildlife for free. If you’re unable to do this, please call the RSPCA National Control Centre on 0300 1234 999 who will be able to advise further.

To report a sick or injured stray cat please call the National RSPCA Control Centre on 0300 1234 999.

If the cat is calm and approachable, and you have appropriate means of transport, you can take the cat to your local vet who will be able to scan them for a microchip. Please contact the vet in advance to check they have availability.

As an independent local charity with limited resources, we cannot respond to reports of lost or stray dogs.

If you have found a lost or stray dog please follow these steps:

1. Check to see if the dog is wearing a collar or tag with the contact details of the owner. Only approach if calm. 
2. Stay clear if the dog is displaying aggressive behaviour and contact the Hull Dog Warden on (01482) 300 300 or the East Riding Dog Warden on (01482) 393939.
3. If the dog is in imminent danger or in a dangerous location contact emergency services. Never put yourself in danger.
4. You can report the stray dog to the council online here.
5. If the dog is calm and approachable, and you have appropriate means of transport, contact your local vet to scan for a microchip as by law all dogs should be microchipped. Never put yourself in danger, particularly if the dog is showing signs of aggression.

You can drop donations to one of our four charity shops, to the Animal Rescue Centre based on Clough Road between 9.00 am and 4.00pm Monday to Saturday – contact details can be found here.

Our rescue animals are always in need of new toys, food and treats, so thanks for thinking of us!

You can drop donations of pet items to our Animal Rehabilitation Centre Charity Shop based on Clough Road, between 11am and 3pm Monday to Sunday. 

Yes! Purchasing items through our Amazon Wishlist is an amazing way to donate directly to the animals in our care, without having to leave the comfort of your own home.

All you have to do is visit our wishlist page and purchase any items from the list. These will then be delivered directly to our Animal Rescue Centre on Clough Road, and distributed within our kennels and cattery.

Yes! We accept both one off donations and monthly payments through our Just Giving page.  Whether you can spare 50p or £50, it all counts towards the care and rehabilitation of our animals.

We appreciate every single one of our supporters, and without your generosity and kindness we simply could not continue rescuing and rehoming our animals. So, from all of our staff and animals, thank you!

Our adoption fees are updated regularly to reflect the medical costs and rehabilitation associated with the animals whilst in our care.

Adoption fees are as follows (please note these prices are subject to change depending on individual circumstances):

Our prices include neutering, microchipping, flea and worm treatment, vaccinations (where appropriate) and 4 weeks’ insurance for each animal and every penny made goes straight back into helping more animals in our Animal Rescue Centre.

No. For the welfare and wellbeing of our animals, the centre is closed to the general public. Research has shown us that our animals are less stressed when visitor numbers are reduced; we have seen less vocalisation, destruction and fearful behaviours as a result of closing our animal centre to the public. Direct viewing of our animals is available by appointment only, once you have submitted an application form for your new pet. All animals that are available for adoption can be viewed here
