On Tuesday 11th March, we were delighted to welcome Future Humber to RSPCA Hull & East Riding for their Talent+ event, a session designed to inspire managers and leaders to align their teams with purpose.
Led by Matthew Wright, Partnership Manger and our CEO Fred Owen, the workshop explored how our strong mission, vision, and values have helped transform workplace culture, drive success, and foster meaningful collaboration. Attendees engaged in thought-provoking discussions on applying values in leadership, decision-making, and partnerships, ensuring ethical and impactful collaborations.
At RSPCA Hull & East Riding, our values—Humanity, Excellence, Accountability, Responsiveness, and Teamwork (HEART)—are the foundation of everything we do. The session reinforced the importance of embedding these principles into daily actions, ensuring they are more than just words.
The event also featured an exciting tour of our facilities, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how we put our values into action every day, from animal welfare and rehoming operations to our commitment to community engagement.
Workshops like these provide valuable insights for leaders looking to create a more purpose-driven workplace. We’re grateful to Future Humber and all attendees for joining us on this journey toward values-led leadership.
