We are proud to support an important conference event exploring The Unhidden Face of Domestic Abuse in Older People, taking place on Tuesday 21st October at Hull KR’s Legends Lounge, Craven Park.
This half-day event will build on the success of last year’s Hidden Face of Domestic Abuse conference, bringing together local organisations, professionals, and community members to better understand and respond to the unique challenges older people face when experiencing domestic abuse.
Why This Matters
Domestic abuse does not discriminate by age. Older people can often be among the most vulnerable – facing barriers such as isolation, physical dependency, and reluctance to speak out. This conference is an opportunity to listen, learn, and empower those whose voices are too often unheard.
We’re also proud to share that Matt Wright, Head of Operations at RSPCA Hull & East Riding, will be speaking about the often-overlooked impact of domestic abuse on pets, and how this links to our work as a White Ribbon Organisation.
