We were thrilled to welcome Smailes Goldie to our Animal Centre on Clough Road for a fantastic team volunteering day! Their 16-strong team brought energy, enthusiasm, and a whole host of skills to support our charity on Friday 23rd October.
During the day, the team:
- Prepared Halloween and Christmas packs for our community events
- Painted a fence and cleared leaves around the centre
- Helped organise and sort our store area
- Gave plenty of love and cuddles to our amazing cats and dogs
Matthew Wright, our Head of Operations, said: “THANK YOU Smailes Goldie. The team were an absolute dream, undertaking tasks with enthusiasm and joy. They were a huge credit to business.”
Their support made a real impact: the Halloween festival sweets went down a treat, and combined with other activities, the day helped raise nearly £700 for our branch.
We’re incredibly grateful to the Smailes Goldie team for dedicating their time and energy — it was a meaningful day of giving back to a local charity making a real difference for animals in need.
