At RSPCA Hull and East Riding Branch CIO, confident communication is at the heart of achieving our mission —rehabilitating, and rehoming animals who have suffered cruelty, neglect, or abandonment. To strengthen our voice and share our story more powerfully, our team recently took part in a Communications and Engagement Training session delivered corporate partners One SC Media.

The interactive training, held at the stunning Monicle building in Hull city centre, brought together staff from across animal care, fundraising, and retail. It focused on developing storytelling skills, refining key messages, and communicating with authenticity and confidence.

The session provided practical tools for staff to engage more effectively with supporters, share the branch’s achievements, and inspire people to become animal champions. These new skills will help ensure that every conversation, post, and campaign reflects our values and vision for animal welfare.

This training will undoubtedly support us in telling our story with confidence. It will inspire people to support our work and help more animals find loving homes.

Collaboration in Action

The partnership with One SC Media didn’t stop at training. Their team has shown continued support for RSPCA Hull & East Riding in multiple ways. Recently, Lucy Evans and Bobby Crowhurst from One SC Media volunteered at the Animal Care Centre, rolling up their sleeves to help with hands-on support with gardening and maintenance duties, prior to spending quality time with some of our animals. Their visit offered valuable insight into the daily dedication and compassion that drives our charity.

Through this collaboration, both organisations discovered a shared passion for storytelling, teamwork, and community impact. Together, we’re ensuring that RSPCA Hull & East Riding’s message is clear, confident, and inspiring.

We are proud to be Remarkable, Real, Resourceful, and Revolutionary — and with the support of One SC Media, we’re better equipped than ever to share those qualities with the world.

Thank You

A heartfelt thank you to Subhash Chatterjee, Natalie Oliver, Lucy Evans, Bobby Crowhurst, and the entire One SC Media team for their time, expertise, and generosity. Your partnership is helping us create stronger stories, deeper connections, and brighter futures for the animals in our care.
