We had the honour of hosting the National RSPCA Chief Veterinary Officer Caroline Allen, Lead Vet for Branches Vanessa Whitfield and Paul Knott our local vet from Medivet Swanland in a pivotal visit that underscores the branch’s remarkable progress and impact in animal welfare on Monday 9th December . The visit highlighted the branch’s innovative approach to creating a “life worth living” for animals in care, aligning with the RSPCA’s national vision.
Discussions centered on the branch’s new three-year strategy, which champions a compassionate direction toward kindness for both animals and humans. The strategy reflects a commitment to driving meaningful change in how animals are cared for, supported by the branch’s exceptional track record of rehabilitation and rehoming initiatives.
Branch CEO Fred Owen said: “This visit is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team and supporters. It reflects the attention and recognition we’re receiving for making a significant difference in the lives of animals and people across Hull and East Riding.”
