Mya the Staffie arrived into our care back in November, and it was immediately clear she had not had the start in life she deserved.

Mya was painfully thin, with balding fur and sore patches that showed clear signs of neglect. Due to her condition, she needed four small meals a day to help her body safely regain strength. She also required medication to treat the sores on her skin.

Despite everything she had been through, Mya was the sweetest, most affectionate girl. She loved nothing more than climbing onto your knee for cuddles and soaking up every bit of kindness she was shown.

With the dedicated care of our team, Mya began to transform. She gained weight beautifully, her confidence grew, and she started to truly enjoy life again, especially her walks and playtime on the back field. Chasing a football quickly became her absolute favourite pastime.

Mya loved everyone she met, greeting each person with a wagging tail and an open heart.

As we entered 2026, Mya found her forever home. We are so happy to report that she is now living her very best life, exactly as she deserves.

Stories like Mya’s remind us why the work we do matters so much.
