At RSPCA Hull & East Riding, our volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do. Every day, their time, energy, and compassion make a direct difference to the lives of local animals in need — and now, we urgently need more helping hands to support our Community Charity Shops.
Our shops are a vital source of income for our Clough Road Animal Rescue Centre, helping to fund the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of animals who’ve faced cruelty, neglect, or abandonment. By joining our volunteer team, you’ll not only make a difference to animals — you’ll also meet new people, gain valuable skills, and become part of a friendly, supportive community.

- Merchandising Extraordinaire – Got an eye for display? You turn shelves and rails into irresistible showcases.
- Bric-a-Brac Wizard – From vintage gems to quirky finds, you make magic happen in our treasure trove section.
- Store Marketeer – Love creativity? Help promote our shops online and in the community.
- Cleaning Enthusiast – Keep our shops spotless and sparkling so customers (and pets!) feel at home.

How to Get Involved
You don’t need retail experience — just enthusiasm, reliability, and a passion for animals. Volunteers must be 16 or over, and we’ll ask for two references.
