Late 2024 Andy Dickerson from Hull Self Store got in touch wanting to support RSPCA Hull and East Riding. After numerous conversations the a partnership is underway and supporting us with regular donations for our stores, employee volunteer days at our animal care centre and promotion of our work.

We caught up with Andy to find out more.

Tell us about your business:

Hull Self Store was the first Self Storage company in Hull established in 2000. We deal with both private and business customers who need storage for just a weeks or for several years

Why did you decide to partner with RSPCA Hull and East Riding?

We have access to people wanting to make use of pre loved goods which are ideal for charity shops and most of our staff have cats or dogs or a love for either or  both

How do you support the charity?

We are a receiving in point for any items that can be sold in the RSPCA shops in the local area. We can also collect items from clients homes if we are carrying out removals for them

What is the best thing about the collaboration?

Its uplifting for our staff and a great cause to support. There is something about working with animals that is very fulfilling for our team

Would you encourage other businesses to support a local charity like the RSPCA Hull and East Riding and Why?

Without question. We are a nation of animal lovers so it’s a no brainer to be working in partnership with RSPCA Hull and East Riding.
