Fred is the Chief Executive Officer of the RSPCA Hull & East Riding Branch with an extensive background in strategic and operational leadership in the third sector both locally in our city and nationally across England.
He has experience in Justice Education in his previous role as Head of Learning responsible for leading education, providing quality assurance, and managing public sector contracts.
He has spent over 15 years as a leader in Charity Sector Healthcare and education, in the Humber region. He became a Regional Manager for St John Ambulance the north of England and was part of the charity transformation team. He moved into the commercial ambulance directorate as the Sector Operations Manager for the North of England responsible for delivering ambulance care to CQC standards. As a senior leader for the charity Fred was also a mentor for new managers and a leadership coach for both commercial staff and volunteers in St John Ambulance.
In his spare time, he volunteers as a senior youth leader with the ACF developing young people across Yorkshire. In 2008 Fred was recognised the HM the Queen and admitted into the Order of St John for his work with volunteers. He was also recognised by HM Lord-Lieutenant of East Riding for services to the community of East Yorkshire.
Fred is also a Trustee for Age UK, Hull and East Yorkshire and the Chair of Governors for Newland St John Academy
Fred lives in Hull and is married with 3 grown up children, two grandchildren and his Patterdale Terrier (Wellington)
